Phoenix Construction Update Spring 2021Construction is progressing well on site at Empire Phoenix in Toronto’s Humber Bay Shores. With the spring season coming to a close, we’re documenting all of the site’s newest changes — take a look below.
We are pleased to announce that the roof membrane of Tower A is underway, as are its outdoor amenities. Now that Tower A’s forming is complete, our team has begun forming the mechanical roof on Tower B. Windows have also been installed up to the 11th floor of Tower A and up to the 16th floor of Tower B, with drywall framing for the towers’ exterior and corridors underway. Balcony railings are also in the process of being installed and have reached the 8th floor of Tower A and the 3rd floor of Tower B. Framing of the towers’ lobby and amenities has begun, with the installation of suite studs expected to commence in the weeks ahead.
In light of the COVID-19 situation, Empire is taking extra precautions for the health and safety of our team members, homeowners, customers and vendor/trade partners. Our construction sites remain open and we are doing our part to maintain physical distancing through modified scheduling and staffing.
