Overall, Texas’ tech scene is robust, with more than 17,600 tech-related firms in the region and more than 203,700 workers employed in the industry. A number of tech-based firms are moving to (or opening offices in) Texas, including Google in Houston, Austin and Dallas; Tesla and Oracle in Austin; and Hewlett Packard in Houston.
