Clean lines, cool tones, subtle hints of greenery, and a neutral color scheme is what you’ll find in Empire Rental Living’s newest model at Metro in Atlanta. Take a look at how this townhome was personalized from top to bottom, with the help of the MINE design team.
What was the inspiration behind the home’s design?
MINE: We wanted to create a captivating narrative, and for each room to tell a story through furniture, decor, and color palettes that evoke specific moods. The design inspires visitors and ignites their imagination about the possibilities of living here.
What was the look you were trying to achieve?
MINE: For this model we drew inspiration from various sources to create a fresh, bright and inviting space where you would feel comfortable and at home.
Talk us through the design process.
MINE: The first step was to assess the home’s layout so we could optimize space and the overall efficiency of the home. Furniture choices were made to enhance the living experience and align with the needs of the dweller.
What are some standout features in each space?
1. The Kitchen
The amount of natural light made us want to go minimal to make that the center of attention.
2. The Living Room
This open-concept room has direct access to the kitchen, making entertaining easier than ever. A few seating options were incorporated to accommodate any amount of guests.
3. The Primary Bedroom
A large window above the bed allows an abundance of natural light to illuminate the room. This space was kept simple but sleek, with sharp lines and mirrors to showcase the ceiling height.
4. The Secondary Bedroom
Large enough to function as a bedroom and an area to work from home, this room is a true multi-functional space.
5. The Outdoor Patio
The generous size of this outdoor patio gives residents an abundance of room to entertain or soak up the outdoors solo.
What stands out to you about this floor plan?
MINE: This floorplan caters to the needs of modern residents. Each room serves a distinct purpose, yet connects to create a cohesive living space. Large windows throughout the home create a bright and light atmosphere which is what residents love and look for.
What materials, textures and colors did you use?
MINE: We used a neutral color scheme with hints from the surrounding natural landscape. We wanted to incorporate this vibrant neighborhood into our design.
How can someone recreate this look in their home?
- Living room: Large neutral sofa, textural art to help fill the space, and a wood media console to bring in some warmth.
- Primary bedroom: Modern casual bed frame with mirrors to create an updated but sleek look, as well as a neutral dresser and nightstands to help round out the look.
