Avalon Construction Update Fall 2022There’s been so much significant progress happening at Avalon in Caledonia as the community continues to evolve and welcome new families.
Congratulations to all our homeowners in Phase 5 who have closed on their new homes. This phase is now 95% complete and base coat driveway paving has been finished while grading for sod is in progress.
Phase 6 is approximately 55% complete, and many homes on Whithorn Cres, Carrie Cres, Rebecca Way and Owl Lane have closed and are now occupied while the final few homes are in the finishing stages. Over on Ellis Avenue, all homes have now closed and families have moved in. A handful of homes on Hawick Cres have closed, with construction moving along. Exterior brick is complete on all homes and on the interior, all homes have been framed, with a majority drywalled and now at the tile stage. A handful of homes remain at the framing stage but these will be next to be drywalled and move to the interior finishing stage.
Townhomes on Owl Lane and Whithorn Cres are also well underway and almost complete with exterior cladding and sidewalks, curbs, and driveway base coat paving to follow and be completed before year-end here. Congratulations to the families in this phase who have closed and are now moved into their new homes.
Phase 3B of the community is also progressing at 40% completion and approximately 60% of the homes have exteriors complete. Construction is in full gear on Castro Lane where homes have been framed. On Sundin Drive, homes are at various stages of construction with framing, drywall, tile installation and paint all underway. Half of the homes on Santos Drive are now complete and have closed, while the remaining are in the interior finishings stages and are set to close over the next few weeks, with the exception of a few homes that are at the drywall stage.
