At our Buckley model in Buckhead, Empire designers Lindsey Wooten and Liz Combs paired a warm white envelope with comfortable furniture pieces and textural woods to create a home that’s warm, welcoming and cohesive. “We brought in natural elements through the soapstone-colored quartz countertops and a variety of different textures,” says designer Lindsey Wooten. Blonde hardwood flooring, shiplap wall paneling and seagrass barstools add texture and dimension to the kitchen. Deep grey cabinets, dark countertops and black pendant lighting balances the room’s white envelope.

The home’s airy appeal continues into the adjacent living room, with a streamlined slipcover sofa and rustic woods found in the lounge chairs and coffee table. Subtle pops of pattern and color compliment the room’s neutral envelope without being overpowering. “We wanted the space to feel luxurious, comfortable and sophisticated,” says designer Lindsey Wooten.

Aubergine-grey drapes and throw pillows define the palette in the principal bedroom. Rustic wood ceiling beams pair nicely with the nightstands, and table lamps with a large black base lend gravitas to the space. Pro tip: Hang curtains as close to the ceiling as possible to make the room feel larger and lead the eye upward.
