We sat down with new Empire homeowners Michael and Jeannie Boykin to learn more about their homebuying experience.

 

Michael and Jeannie Boykin moved into one of Empire’s communities in Belmont, North Carolina and couldn’t be happier. The new Empire homeowners reflect on their homebuying experience below, sharing everything from the process of designing their home to watching their vision come to life, and working with our experienced team to make it happen.

The Home

“Empire helped us build this beautiful home where we made most of the selections ourselves,” says Michael. “Our favorite part about the floor plan we chose is its open and airy living space. Just off the family room, we have a wet bar area and the kitchen, and the two-story ceiling in the family room just brings in an enormous amount of natural light,” adds Jeannie. “We added screens and a television to the porch, and some surround sound as well. When the weather is nice, it’s absolutely fantastic to sit out there.”

The Team

“The team we worked with at Empire was extremely professional and helpful. I felt that at any point, I could reach out to my sales associate or the manager that handles construction, and they always got back to us within a timely manner and answered all of our questions,” says Jeannie. “Our on-site sales associate with Empire was fantastic. She was always so helpful and friendly. Any time we had a question or even a slight concern, she was there to help and make sure that we were satisfied,” Michael notes.

Why Empire?

Purchasing a home is one of life’s biggest milestones — that’s why it’s so important to choose a builder you can trust. “We ended up choosing Empire as our builder because we really liked the lots that they offered, as well as the floorplans,” says Jeannie. “We loved all of the design options at the Design Center and really felt like we got a custom home.”

“I would recommend Empire to anybody who’s looking for a positive experience, a great product, competitive pricing, and a good experience from beginning to end. If someone were to ask me if I would do this entire process all over again, I would definitely say yes,” says Jeannie. “We were very pleased with our selection at Empire, our experience, and would recommend them hands down,” Michael adds. “The process as a whole was very smooth — from picking out our lot and signing our contract to construction, working with Empire’s teams, and closing.”
