What is EmpireFIT?
EmpireFIT is a new program dedicated to inspiring healthy living within Empire’s local communities while also expanding its “outside the box” approach to fostering community connections and encouraging optimal wellness as a part of residents’ daily lives.
Studies have shown that access to fitness amenities is linked to higher rates of physical activity, improved mental health, and increased life satisfaction.
Empire’s new home communities are intentionally built in active, amenity-rich areas along Atlanta’s BeltLine and the GA 400 Corridor that focus on fostering overall wellness by providing residents with convenient access to recreational amenities and spaces that support healthy lifestyle choices every day.
With access to outdoor trails, fitness studios, group classes, and a community-centered approach to well-being, Atlanta’s BeltLine and GA 400 Corridor offer more than just a way to get from point A to point B — they are a lifestyle. These communities provide an unparalleled level of convenience when it comes to encouraging Empire residents to maintain a fit lifestyle — mentally, emotionally and physically.
Atlanta’s Neighborhood Recreational and Activity Hubs
Fitness and wellness aren’t one-size-fits-all, and in and around Empire’s Atlanta-based communities, residents have access to a broad spectrum of wellness activities designed to cater to every fitness level and lifestyle.
From high-end fitness centers to outdoor group fitness classes in nearby parks, the variety of options ensure everyone can find something that suits their needs:
Walking and Biking
Take a bike ride or a leisurely stroll along Alpharetta’s Big Creek Greenway or Alpha Loop near our Firefly, Pinecone, and Chiswick communities while enjoying a morning coffee or smoothie from a local coffee shop or juice bar along the loop in downtown Alpharetta or nearby Avalon, the prestigious outdoor shopping and dining center. Walk, bike, or even roller blade along the Beltline, stopping into Ponce City Market to grab an afternoon snack or beverage at one of its many local restaurants inside its authentic food hall, which offers a variety of international cuisines.
Yoga and Meditation
Outdoor yoga classes in spaces like Beltline’s Historic Fourth Ward Park, Westside Park, or Wills Park in Alpharetta, GA, offer a tranquil setting for mindfulness and relaxation, helping to relieve stress all while connecting with nature.
Fitness Clubs and Studios
Numerous boutique fitness studios and gyms, such as Ponce City Market’s YMCA or the Atlanta BeltLine’s 8-mile loop of fitness stations, offer everything from spin classes to strength training services.
Family-Friendly Fitness
The BeltLine also offers opportunities for family fitness activities, including bike rides, family-friendly 5ks, and a variety of fun group recreational sports.
Pickleball
Play pickleball at Wills Park, featuring six tennis/pickleball hybrid courts, or check out The Painted Pickle near the BeltLine for year-round indoor pickleball and social fun.
Atlanta’s BeltLine and GA 400 Corridor’s integration of these active amenities ensures that residents not only have the tools to live healthily but are also encouraged to embrace fitness as part of their daily routines. With pedestrian-friendly pathways, bike racks, and public transit options, residents can easily access wellness centers, fitness studios, and outdoor activities without having to get into a car. This ease of access encourages more people to incorporate fitness into their daily routines, whether it’s walking to a nearby gym, cycling to a yoga class, or simply enjoying a jog on the many scenic trails.
Green spaces and parks, such as Freedom Park and The Atlanta Botanical Garden, offer spaces for outdoor fitness classes, farmers markets, and wellness events that promote environmental awareness and active lifestyles. These sustainable initiatives contribute to a healthier community for both residents and the planet.
Empire Community Indoor and Outdoor Activity Hubs
The BeltLine itself is a model of sustainability, and the fitness amenities along the route contribute to this eco-friendly ethos, which each of Empire’s BeltLine communities — Stein Steel, Longreen, and Zephyr — echo through their own thoughtfully designed amenities.
With EmpireFIT, we’ve reimagined our traditional community amenities by creating community spaces that inspire movement, relaxation, and connection. Whether you begin your day with a community trail run, throw the ball in the community dog park, meditate in tranquil community outdoor spaces, lift weights in community gyms with state-of-the-art equipment, or delve into a motivational book on the patio or inside a clubhouse lounge, wellness seamlessly integrates into your daily routine, empowering you to thrive.
Designed for Healthy Living
For those who live along these iconic routes, where fitness is seamlessly integrated into daily life, achieving ultimate wellness is no longer an inconceivable dream but rather a practical reality. EmpireFIT strives to make it easier to stay active, connect with neighbors, and embrace the vibrant culture in and around one of the South’s most exciting cities — a place many are proud to call home.
